Gifts and Good Cheer …
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and for those of you who find this time of year particularly hard, that you received plenty of loving support and inner peace.
I spent Christmas Day with my husband and my parents. We don’t have children of our own so on Boxing Day it was fun and games all the way with our two youngest nieces (both teenagers, so not so young anymore!) and merriment aplenty, not to mention fizz and choccies.
Santa was very kind to me this year and delivered several writerly presents; some with sentimental value, others more practical that will help spur me on to crack on with the sequel to my debut As Weekends Go, published earlier this month.

Post-Publication Thank you …
What better way to start my first blog post than with an enormous great THANK YOU!
My debut novel As Weekends Go was published by Choc Lit on the 4th of this month and the support and good cheer I received on the day and since has been fantastic. We had a fab celebratory family gathering at my mum and dad’s with plenty of fizz and nibbles. Mr B even created a ‘book title’ masterpiece for me out of his leftover pastry. I also had some gorgeous gifts and cards and some really lovely messages from friends both on and offline. All in all, I’ve been thoroughly indulged.
I’ve received some lovely feedback on the book already, with some good reviews (which certainly helped to unjangle the old nerves a bit. Phew is an understatement!).
It’s been a a gem of a year for me all round and I’m looking forward to cracking on with Book 2 in 2016, after the Christmas festivities.
